About the artist: Lyndsey Smith's love for Sussex city life emanates in her busy, everyday scenes and warm colours. Buildings feature predominantly in her work, inspired by her interest local history. When Lyndsey isn't drawing, she enjoys reading up on history and archaeology, eating out and walking with her golden retriever. Her work has been featured in Sussex Life magazine as well as information boards across the South Downs National Park. She has exhibited for the Society of Graphic Fine Art's Annual Exhibition.

The Regency Restaurant was once the palatial home of the richest woman in Europe, Harriet Mellon. The widow of banker Thomas Coutts and wife of the ninth Duke of St Albans, Harriet often enjoyed her favourite dish of king prawns whilst looking out to sea! The building was converted into a restaurant in the early 1930's, and is one of the oldest and most popular eateries in Brighton.
