Nicky Litchfield

Nicky Litchfield is a British artist best-known for her realistic animal paintings. She predominately uses oil and pastels and tries to convey the ‘essence’ of her subjects. Nicky grew in popularity after she won the Society for All Artists Artist of the Year in the Animal Category in 2008.

About the artist: Nicky Litchfield is a British artist, based in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. Nicky is best known for her realistic and colourful animal paintings. When you see one of Nicky’s paintings, you can feel the affection that she has for her animal subjects. Her style is to let the character and essence of the animal shine through. She predominately uses oil and pastels. Nicky's love for animals began when she would spend weekends and summers at her grandparents' farm. She loves to paint dogs, horses, cows and other livestock. Aside from her art, the other mainstay of her studio is her dog, Max. Nicky Litchfield’s work has grown in popularity since winning the Society for All Artists Artist of the Year in the Animal Category in 2008. Her limited edition prints add warmth and glowing affection wherever they are displayed.
