Nicky Litchfield is a British artist best-known for her realistic animal paintings. She predominately uses oil and pastels and tries to convey the ‘essence’ of her subjects. Nicky grew in popularity after she won the Society for All Artists Artist of the Year in the Animal Category in 2008.
About the artist: Nicky Litchfield is a British artist, based in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. She is best known for her realistic and colourful animal paintings. Her love for animals began when she would spend weekends and summers at her grandparents' farm painting dogs, horses, cows and other livestock. When you see one of Nicky’s artworks, you can instantly feel the affection that she has for her animal subjects.
Nicky predominately uses oil paint and pastels.
Her work grew in popularity since she won the Society for All Artists Artist of the Year in the Animal Category in 2008. Her limited edition prints add warmth and glowing affection wherever they are displayed, the character and essence of her animal friends shining through.
Aside from her art, the other mainstay of Nicky's studio is her beloved dog, Max.
